Six Sentence Sunday 5/1

Wow. Totally missed the boat on last week. It posted about 12 hours and 17 minutes too late *headdesk*. That'll teach me to pay attention to the time and date stamp.

Taking a break from Duality for my wip Spark. I promise I'll jump back into Duality next week. I just kinda need a break while waiting for a few critiques.

This is from the second chapter--new characters: Riona and Sven. Riona works with Duke as a paranormal investigator and is also a Nephilim. Sven is a demon, currently an actor, who has been after Riona for around 700 years. They rarely get this close. She came on set to talk to him about the attempt on his life. He's asked her to meet him at his hotel later.


Riona followed his eyes. Everyone around them was preoccupied. Slyly, Sven slid his hand around her waist, pulling her close. She gasped at the sudden contact and shivered again at his warm breath on her skin. “When you arrive, head to the back of the building. There will be a door to my room.”

    I'm torn. On one hand, 700 years is a long time to make a guy chase you. On the other hand, I believe in playing hard to get.

    She should bring someone along just to be a brat. :o)

    fast paced six with the promise of secrets and adventure. Loved it and really, really wanted to read on to find out what would happen after she walked through that back door.
