Six Sentence Sunday 3/20

It's that time again! Six Sentence Sunday :-D I hope everyone's having a great one, and that, if you're immersing yourself in March Madness, your bracket isn't busted all to hell and back thanks to Louisville's loss to Morehead St. Cuz noooobody that I know of saw that coming.

And as always, you can (and SHOULD) check out our full cast of talented SSS authors here.

Today's six is still from Duality. Our heroine has learned that the fennec has been mutated with viper DNA. After an intense and short battle:

I lunged at her; her head turned toward me as I clamped down. I leapt away with a mouthful of scales and flesh. Her agonized yelp pierced the wind. Without a thought, I pounced again, pushed her head into the sand, and clamped down on her spine. When I heard it snap, I jumped back. She spasmed, and then abruptly lay still, dead.

Wow! Violent and just a tad gruesome. Hoping that fleshy scaly thing was a baddie!
