This week's six is a continuation of last week. It was kind of hard to choose, especially since I haven't gotten this far in my revisions yet. (I'm two chapters away!) Dima is up against a wolf/tiger hybrid. Gonna test that name already. Hope you enjoy!
And, as always, please check out the insanely talented SSS authors here.
She roared, her voice a low rumbling of thunder that failed to hide her power.
I loathed the scent of my fear.
She circled me, sizing me up, and licked her chops. Her growls and snarls didn’t register, so I assumed that she was more wolf than tiger. With lightning speed, she leapt back into the underbrush, howl-roared, and then reappeared in the clearing.
I sank to all fours.

Oh, dear, I don't like how this is going for Dima! :(
Great description, and I'm a bit worried that the wolf/tiger has reappeared like that!
Sounds like the wolf/tiger is playing with Dima. I'm worried for her, and yes, I want more.
I really like this story. It's so unusual. Terrific six.
Yikes! Sounds like an epic battle is happening!
Great six, you've captured the wild animal prowl and power perfectly.
Sounds like a the battle is about to begin!
Some great tension. A lot of anticipation for what happens next.
Wickedly intense six!! I'm trying to picture this creature.
Do you describe the creature somewhere else? Great action scene.

Thanks, everyone, for visiting!!!!!
@JessicaK, I do describe the critter, but I really hate the description of her, so I'm leery of posting anything about it until it's better.
The description actually comes next.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog, and I'm digging yours already! I ESPECIALLY love that quote on your profile. I think I may need to steal it and read it to myself whenever I feel discouraged!
Looking forward to looking around... :)
Thanks, LisaAnn! I'm really looking forward to poking around yours too. I bet you have some interesting stories on there. Being an animal trainer can't be easy!
And please, steal the quote ;) We need all the support we can get, right?
