Six Sentence Sunday 12/11

Good Sunday, my peeps! Hope everyone's having a nice weekend. I actually have the day off, so I'll be able to hang out and read all the awesome snippets in the comfort of my own home ^_^

If you'd like to read along with me, check out the official Six Sunday site here.

I'm staying in Duality for a while (maybe until I untangle and finish Spark). This scene takes place immediately after last week's.

The bang! sounded like a bomb blast. Sylvia clamped her hand over my mouth, but I couldn’t make a sound. I clutched Sylvia’s arm, tears streaming.
Maggie’s rage died, like a candle’s flame snuffed without a care. She crumpled on top of him, a jumble of spider legs and dark, stringy hair. When he pushed her off, he stared at her, wild-eyed, blood streaming from his nose, chest heaving.
