Six Sentence Sunday 8/7

Hey all! Back from my hiatus (and still not caught up on the last 2 weeks of entries). Vacation was awesome, but now my nose is back to the grindstone. Remember to check out the other Six Sunday participants!

Here's this week's offering from Duality. The next fight. Like with the other two fights, Dima's in a virtual reality room.

A haunting howl escaped the forest; I thought I detected a tinge of a roar. “What the hell?” To my right, leaves crunched and twigs snapped. She wanted me to know she was nearby. My heart raced as I heard sounds from one direction and then another. Where is it?

@Sandy, thanks so much! I love this story and I'm glad that more people, even people who don't necessarily like science fiction, are enjoying it too. Makes me happy!
